I have been working this past year with people in leadership roles, from researchers to staff in official leadership roles to administrative staff who want to be more effective in their positions. The issues vary from applying for positions, trying to make the current position more palatable, managing staff demands, learning techniques to resolve conflicts, examining decision-making strategies, learning how to do performance management, and so forth. Each coachee sends me at least three objectives prior to the session, and at the end of the session, they need to summarize their takeaways and what they will work on prior to the next session. We meet online or in person, typically once a month, but if there is a pressing issue, we will meet weekly until the issue is resolved.
